Japanese Market

September 1, 2009

Sushi ArtAs a Japanese person, who believes in good, traditional sushi, (aka no spicy tuna, California rolls, or whatever other creation), I would have to say the Japanese Market (1412 79th Causeway, Miami Beach, FL) is probably one of the top places in Miami to eat sushi or sashimi.

Please note that this is also a grocery store with Japanese items not accessible in the area. The “restaurant” is a sushi bar deli style and one would never think that it is a top place to eat. The prices are inexpensive, even if you ask for the omakase.

The fish, such as, sayori (needle fish), is brought in fresh once a week so you may want to find out when the best days to go are and get there or you will miss out on the great fish from Japan.
