La Loggia

October 13, 2009

Working in downtown Miami, you find a lot of very mediocre places. Located right across the courthouse La Loggia (68 W Flagler St, Miami, FL) caters to powersuits and foodies alike.

We started off with the sautéed calamari over fresh spinach and truffle oil. The calamari was cooked to perfection, and the truffle oil topped it off. The appetizer was good enough for four people.

For the entree, we ordered the black linguine and the risotto seafood. The black linguine was sauteed with shrimp and calamari (yes, more calamari) with tomato sauce topped off with a slice of ricotta cheese. The ricotta cheese was full of flavor and as it melted into the pasta it enhanced the flavor. The risotto seafood was big enough to feed a family of four and was filled with shrimp, calamari, and bay scallops.

Overall, the restaurant is a good place for lunch and happy hour and is worth stopping by if you are in the downtown area.
