Brooklyn Museum

December 9, 2009

If you have the time and like art, a splendid way to spend the afternoon is to head to the Brooklyn Museum (200 Eastern Parkway, Brooklyn, New York 11238). Although, it is a little out of the way, I promise you, it is worth the trip. This museum is the second largest in the NYC area.

A $20 suggested donation will get you in the museum. With 5 floors of exhibitions and special exhibitions, you are definitely going to find something to your liking. I would say the highlights are the Egyptian arts, in which they have one of the biggest collections in the world. I would also suggest their Asian arts section as they explore the cultural arts from China, Japan, Korea, India, and Nepal.
