Burger and Beer Joint

Lately, South Beach has been popping up with all sorts of burger places, 8 oz, Bliss Burger Bistro, Five Guys, and B&B (Burger & Beer) Joint. I went to visit Burger & Beer Joint (1766 Bay Road, Miami Beach, FL 33139) with a couple of friends and we were seated promptly in a secluded back room.

This place has an extensive beer menu (I believe 99 different bottled beers and a couple of beers on draft). They even served their draft beers in pitchers.

A buddy of mine started off with their onion rings and I swear those rings must have been on steroids. They were humongous and surprisingly tasted very delicious. You can build your own burger or go for one of their signature line burgers. I had the Hotel California burger, which is their 10 oz prime angus beef, ranchero salsa, guacamole, grilled red onion, cilantro sour cream, sharp cheddar, and the best of all, the sunny side up egg on a brioche bun. It also came with lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickles just in case you don’t have enough toppings. Oh yes, and I almost forgot, the skinny fries also came on the side. The burger itself was messy, but wonderful. Then again, what beats a burger with yolk dripping down the side of it?

I’m going to have to come back here to try their appetizers. They have fried pickles, duck fat fries, pig in a bucket, and more. My suggestion, forget 8 oz. stop by here!
