La Sandwicherie

April 19, 2010

A while ago, I blogged about a sandwich joint in the Brickell area called, La Baguette. I gave them a very negative

Their famous French Vinaigrette sauce

review. (Unfortunately, they are still around.) However, across the bay in SoBe, there is another amazing (according to their website, heavenly) sandwich place called, La Sandwicherie (229 14th Street, Miami Beach, FL 33139). Located right in between Washington and Collins Ave, and right in front of the iconic Club Deuce, this place consistently serves fast and great sandwiches.

One gets a choice of very fresh French baguette or fresh French croissant with a choice of meat. (I always get the French salami (Saucisson Sec). In addition, you have a flavor of toppings, lettuce, tomatoes, green & hot peppers, black olives, onions, cucumbers, cornichons (don’t be scared, they are small French pickles), mayo, and their amazing French vinaigrette (which you can buy a bottle for $9). My opinion, get everything on their, it’s a flavor explosion in your mouth.

Salads are also available for those that are carb conscious (although, I think the bread alone is worth going to this restaurant). Prices for the sandwiches are from $5.50-$8.

Forget Subway, go to La Sandwicherie, and definitely not La Baguette!

I’ve been going to La Sandwicherie since I can remember. It might be my favorite joint in South Beach. It’s great, specially after a (half) day at the beach. And yes, their vinaigrette is the best ever (and that is no exaggeration).
