Prague (Day 32)
Day 32 (9/1/2010): This is our one month travel anniversary!
We started bright and early today and headed to the ever so famous Charles Bridge. To be absolutely honest, this was probably one of the few things on the trip that has wowed me. With an assortment of beautiful statues, it is a sight that is not to be missed. If you are like me and hate rude tourists, go there as early as possible!
If the Charles Bridge is not impressive enough, then the Prague Castle should hit the target. Again, try to get here before the annoying tourists come around. There are a couple of different types of tickets you can buy depending on how much you would like to see. Before you get to the castle, go up the castle steps on the southern side for an amazing work out.
Obviously, we have to act like fat Americans so we went to an all you can eat sushi. Basically, Wagner and I ate about Benji’s worth of sushi each and paid about 1/3 of the amount. 1 point good guys.
We went to go see the astronomical clock. There were so many people to supposedly see it chime and watch Death empty his hourglass. Since, there were so many people we left.
Although, Wagner does not, I have great interest in the history of communism and the every day life of the people during communism. So I forced us to go to the Museum of Communism, which ironically is next to a McDonald’s and a casino. Basically, it was a museum on the life and reality under communism in Czechoslovakia.
Came back home and went out to eat with Petra at a Czech restaurant. Wagner ordered Hell’s Revenge and took a hit.
